All meetings are held at the Barton Township Hall located at 7860 E 17 Mile Rd, Reed City MI 49677

Township Board Meetings: 

• Held monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.

Planning Commission Meetings: 

• Held quarterly on the 3rd Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
• Quarterly Meeting Dates for 2026: January 15, April 16th, July 16th & October 15th
• PUBLIC HEARING: May 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. (see notice under Planning tab)

                                                                January 15, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.

Special School Election on May 6, 2025:

• Poll hours are 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Budget Hearing for Fiscal Year 2026-2027: 

• Meeting will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
• A copy of the proposed budget will be available for public inspection by appointment with the Clerk. The Barton Twp Board will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon 5 business days notice to the Board, please contact the Clerk.  "The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing."
